GBH Announces Recipients of 2025 Paula S. Apsell GBH STEM Scholarship
As part of its longstanding commitment to supporting science education, Boston public media producer GBH today announced the 2025 recipients of the Paula S. Apsell GBH STEM Scholarship. Seventeen Boston public high school graduates will each receive a more than $2,000 award toward post-secondary STEM education. -

Lexington High School Named GBH’s High School Quiz Show Season 16 State Champion
Lexington High School is the High School Quiz Show® Season 16 State Champion. Advancing through the bracket of GBH’s televised academic tournament, Lexington High School earned a spot in the May 17 finale, and faced off against Buckingham Browne & Nichols School to earn a fourth High School Quiz Show State Championship title with a final score of 465 to 340. -
GBH’s Series BREAKING THE DEADLOCK Launches New Episode on Executive Power
BREAKING THE DEADLOCK, a dynamic new series from GBH airing and streaming nationwide on PBS, is releasing a new episode focused on the topic of executive power in government. Designed to encourage civil dialogue, the series brings together a diverse panel of prominent voices from the legal, political and cultural arenas to explore ethical dilemmas. Moderated by Aaron Tang, professor at UC Davis School of Law, the latest episode, entitled BREAKING THE DEADLOCK: A Power Play will premiere nationwide on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, 9 p.m. ET (check local listings) and stream on PBS.org, YouTube and the PBS app. -
FRONTLINE Produces ASL-Interpreted Videos for Podcast Series With Maine Public and Portland Press Herald: “Breakdown: Turning Anguish into Action”
FRONTLINE, the acclaimed PBS investigative documentary series produced at GBH in Boston, announced it has, for the first time, published American Sign Language (ASL)-interpreted videos for each episode of its podcast Breakdown: Turning Anguish Into Action, a six-part series in collaboration with Maine Public Radio and the Portland Press Herald.
